President Denies Recent False News Stating President Spoke To Basil

President  Maithreepala denied the recent  false news published in certain media stating that he spoke to Basil Rajapakshe politics. Matters referred to have been discussed during the conversation with Basil are on assumption or imaginary of the people who planted it. He explained the circumstances under which, this news originated. President said thus “ While I was in an interacting session with some Buddhist monks, all of a sudden one Monk gave me a telephone receiver to me  and asked to speak. Immediately I asked him, who is on line at the other end? Monk in reply a man well known  to you. When I took the receiver and asked who is speaking? At the other end Basil Rajapakshe   responded saying it is Basil Rajapakshe. Immediately I disconnected the call. President further said. it is not correct  to go to a place where  traitors, who broke the SLFP gather. Certain media continue to publish news item stating that there is a clash between me and the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe. All government decisions are tken  after a clear understanding  reached on any matter between us. Hence, good governance will continue without giving room for speculations”.
